Crash Bandicoot Joins Roster of Unreal Engine 4 Games

The beloved 1996 Playstation game is being reincarnated in the Unreal Engine 4, same as Link and Sonic in previous games. Crash is being recreated by Youtube user Anisotropic, and the people working on it have released some footage of Crash and Aku Aku traversing different levels, complete with boxes to smash and enemies to slide kick.

The first video was released on January 1 of this year, featured below, and the second on January 3.

Crash’s signature slide kick, belly crawl and belly flop look amazing in the Unreal Engine 4’s hyper-graphics, but there are clearly aspects that are either missing or lackluster, which is to be expected from an unofficial game like this.

The second video Anisotropic published is below, and shows a “new water system” as told through the title, and more transparent water, as opposed to the really dark water in the first video.

Would you like to see Crash make a comeback? Be sure to leave your comments in the comments, and also tell us what games you would like to see be made in Unreal Engine 4 as well!
