The week Famitsu featured The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. While the feature didn’t offer many new details, one image has been circulating in the Zelda-fandom that has one drawn conclusion: fewer tears of light, at least in Lake Hylia.
The Nintendo Gamecube and Wii versions of Twilight Princess feature 16 Tears of Light to fill. The HD version looks like the new number will be 12. Whether or not this will be true for Eldin Province and Faron Province remains to be seen.
For many, the Tears of Light portion in Twilight Princess was an arguable annoying part that culminated in a more frustrating search through Lake Hylia with a mini-boss fight. This sequence was also imitated in the Wii’s follow up, Skyward Sword, with the Silent Realm quests.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be out for the Nintendo Wii U in March 2016.
